Tournament Fees: Fees are for 25/30 minute and 20 minute halves only. All other shortened times over that are regular fee.
(click to enlarge) Congratulations to Melvin Holmes, he has been named the USYSA Region I, Male Youth Referee of the Year. Melvin's' hard work and dedication along with his academic achievements at Widener are proof positive that even with a very busy college and personal life, it is not only possible to fit in some refereeing but also to succeed and be recognized at a very high level. Region 1 Tournaments The following is a list of premier youth tournaments in Region 1. EPA sends a limited number of referees to this, travel, lodging, game fees or stipend varies for each. ALL REFEREES and ASSESSORS are selected by EPSARC, all referees & assessors must be a registered for the year 2010 to attend. This tournaments provide a referees a great experience to meet fellow referees from Region 1, gain higher level game experience, additional training from National Instructors and/or FIFA referees; however, the referees are required to a commitment of time and effort (fitness, knowledge of the laws and current directives)
President Cup The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to US Youth Soccer teams from the state to regional to national level. This competition is not for teams that expect to advance in the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series. Age Groups: Under 13, Under 14, Under 15, Under 16, and Under 17 both Boys and Girls.
The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program was formed in 1977 to identify a pool of players in each age group from which a National Team will be selected for international competition; to provide high-level training to benefit and enhance the development of players at all levels; and, through the use of carefully selected and licensed coaches, develop a mechanism for the exchange of ideas and curriculum to improve all levels of coaching. The ODP Teams in Region 1 meet in at Ryder College
