New Referee Class
Information
Becoming a Referee
A young referee may only want to do Recreational Under 14 games for the first year or so and would be interested in becoming a Grade 9, which is an 1 day (8 hour) Entry Level Class. This course was written for 11 and 12 year olds.
Referee Grade 8 is the "traditional"
starting point for most referees, but the class is a
18 hour clinic
and the cost
is more. However, most referees in Eastern PA are Grade 8 referees, as
this provides the most opportunity. Because of this, most Entry Level
Classes are for Grade 8. Referee Grade Indoor/Futsal This allows you to referee Indoor or Futsal Soccer. You must be a registered USSF Referee to take this class.
If you want to become a Referee in Eastern PA, candidates must be at least 14 years old by the end of the last class - there are no exceptions.
As of July 1, 2008 - Costs for the Entry Level Classes are: the per student cost for the Grade 8 Referee Class is $100.00. the per student cost for the Grade 9 Referee Class is $60.00. the per student cost for the Indoor/Futsal Referee Class is $60.00 (You must be a registered USSF Referee to take this class)
No classes are taught during the months of June, July & August
To register for a class, contact the coordinator listed for that class.
