Roger Schott celebrates 90 years!

On March 29, 2018, Roger Schott turned 90!  Roger was an integral contributor to the National Referee Program in its infancy in the 1970s.  He was instrumental in developing the fitness test that is used today, to qualify referees for higher game levels.

Lydia Ewing


Lydia Ewing. Lydia has successfuly made the transition from player to offical in a short period of time.  A freshman goalkeeper at Messiah College, Lydia starte 20 games, allowing just four goals, for a Falcons team that reached the final eight of the NCAA DIII Women's Soccer Tournament.  She's also made strides as a referee, working state events including the Easter Pennsylvania Youth Soccer State Cup, part of the National Championship Series.

 

Joesph Franks. A referee fr rfive years, Joseph has quickly risen to become one of the more respected officials in the region.  He has refereed state and regional events, including for ODP, the Presidents Cup and the National Championship Series.  Joseph is currently pursuing his Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics at Temple University with the hopes of becoming a teacher.  Joseph was also named the 2017 Youth Soccer East Region Young Male Referee of the Year.

Assessment Fees for Grades 6, 7 and those looking to upgrade

Assessment fee of $65 is due and payable to EPSARC by March 31.  Mail check and include your name, USSF ID, and letter of intent to upgrade or maintain to: Robert Ong, 6 Colonial Circle, East Norriton, PA  19401

Pennsylvania Child Protection Laws & Clearances apply to Referees too

As of July 1, 2015, all paid employees age 14 and older working in the state of Pennsylvania, that interact directly with children, are required to get background clearances.  This must be done before the first night of an Entry Level Class, and for anyone transferring to Eastern Pennsylvania from another State Association.
