Jeff Deluca Steps Down as SDI
After years of service 1st as SYRA and then SDI, Jeff
DeLuca has retired as the SDI. In a email to the EPA Instructors.
2011-2012 Laws of the Game Memorandum
Good afternoon lady and gentlemen.
Over the course of the past several
weeks I have been evaluating where I want to go with my family, job and
friends. Over the past year or so, my class schedule has not allowed me
to participate in several referee committee and clinic functions. In
addition, both my wife's health and my knees have not gotten any better.
In a decision that was a very difficult one for me personally I have
chosen to retire as the State Director of Instruction as of September
30,2011.
I want to personally thank each and
every one of you for the contributions that you have made to the
instructional program over the last 12 years. It is because of your
efforts that we are able to train about 1000 referees per year and
conduct 7 intermediate and 1 advanced clinic per year. EPA has one of
the finest instructional programs in the country. I do not think of you
as just instructors but also as my friends. Over the years I have gotten
to know most of you on a personal basis and we have shared many moments
together and I hope that as time and distance permits we can remain as
friends.
It is my present plan to remain as
an instructor and assessor in the program and contribute as much as I
can.
The EPA program is not the work of
any one individual but all of you working together for the common goal.
I hope that you continue your fine work as the program move forward.
