Eastern PA bids a heartfelt farewell to Frank Giancroce, SRA

With mixed feelings of sorrow, apprehension and gratitude, I want to announce the retirement of Frank Giancroce – an icon in Eastern Pennsylvania soccer.  Frank is retiring after donating more than 3 decades of his life to the growth, development and improvement of the referee vocation in Eastern Pennsylvania.  He oversaw the development of numerous State and National referees, not to mention thousands of “grassroots” officials and probably hundreds of Assessors and Instructors.  He was well known by many in the referee family throughout the United States and across the globe.  His impact on the growth and improvement of soccer and officiating in Eastern Pennsylvania and throughout this entire country over the years is incalculable…and his guidance and influence will be sorely missed.

On behalf of the Eastern Pennsylvania Soccer Association Referee Committee, and the entire Eastern Pennsylvania soccer family, I want to wish him a long, healthy and fulfilling life.

James Bollinger, President
Eastern Pennsylvania Soccer Association
